INTRODUCTION TO MARRO COVERS
Permanent manhole covers are not installed until towards the end of the construction period, to avoid damage and allow setting to final levels.
In the interim period there is a void presenting a hazard to site personnel and vehicles. Current practice is to cover these voids with pallets, sheets of plywood, or heavy metal plates which can be dislodged or damaged by site traffic, creating obvious hazards.

The Marro cover has been designed to solve this problem.
ADVANTAGES OF MARRO COVER
• Lightweight and easily lifted and installed by a single person
• Lockable and therefore only removable by authorised person
• Locking system adjustable to suit different thicknesses of cover slabs.
• Designed to sustain site traffic (4 tonne wheel load)
• Protects site traffic and personnel from trips/falls
• Avoids use of mechanical plant
• Avoids ingress of debris/silt into manhole which can lead to expensive jetting of drainage
• Robust and can be moved from site to site.
• Flat packed and easily stored.
